JQuery v3 upgrade - testing needed
by Matt Leathes - Monday, 9 January 2017, 12:37 PM

Hi everyone

We are looking to upgrade Adapt from JQuery v2.2.3 to v3.1.1 - partly to keep up to date and partly to take advantage of the speed improvements it has to offer.

We've tested and it all works fine with the core plugins - but we just wanted to give you all the opportunity to test against any custom plugins you've built to make sure it doesn't break them.

The pull request for the change is here: https://github.com/adaptlearning/adapt_framework/pull/1304

Please could you test your plugins over the next three weeks for compatibility?

Note that you don't need to test in IE8 as the framework will always use JQuery v1 for that browser.

Just a reminder that we'll be upgrading Adapt to use JQuery 3.1.1 anytime from next week - unless we hear any objections.
