Sequential menu lock not working on sub menus?
by Henrik Aabom - Tuesday, 25 July 2017, 7:36 AM

Hi Adapters!

Can someone tell me if I'm missing something here?

When enabling menu locking using the Menu lock type: "sequential", only the pages on the "main" menu is locked sequentially. No one of the pages on the sub menus are locked at all. Is that correct?

I'm looking for a way to unlock pages in my course one by one, also the ones in sub menus.

Because sequential didn't do the trick, I tried using the "custom" lock type and used the pages' ID's to mimic the sequential lock type. However, the pages on the sub menu still didn't lock.

Is there no way to lock pages in a sub menu?

Thanks very much for any help here.

Henrik

Hi Henrik

Are you using the authoring tool? If so there is an issue with missing _lockType attribute for submenus. See this issue. A fix has been made but has not been release yet.

You may need to download the framework source and add _lockType to the submenu and build as per the wiki.

Hope that helps.

Has this fix been rolled out?

I seem to be having the same issue in the Authoring tool with not being able to lock the sequence of a submenu.
