Customising top navigation bar

Hi to all.

I have installed and I have been using both the authoring tool and framework for four weeks now. I never knew chat css and less was until I started!

I have managed to build a course but a couple of thing elude me at present. I would love to have a navigation bar similar to this forum whereupon simple writing can be clicked on to either simply 'close' a course or enable other options (I am thinking I might be reaching here though with this next bit) such as hover over and a context menu pops up.

I am using the authoring tool mainly but I don't mind opening up the contained less folders etc in atom to make changes, however I can go over to framework as well. I just managed to put my course into framework as well!

It will be great if someone is able to signpost me to a tutorial or if someone has done something similar. I think this will really add value to the course I am making.

The navigation back button and I've seen the added home button are great but not what I need.

I appreciate the insight.

Many thanks,

Stu
