Multiple Correct Answers - Only 1 needed to be marked correct
by Sherri Fricker - Friday, 26 March 2021, 9:00 PM

Hello,

For an assessment I have written, there are multiple correct answers but we only want the learner to have to select one in order to record the question as being correct. Currently, it shows a checkmark beside the choice they selected, but an X beside the submit button. Is it possible to set up this way or do I need to rewrite my questions? I don't want the learner to have to select all the correct answers as that makes the question significantly more difficult. I am working in the authoring tool.

Currently, we’re on:
  • Authoring tool version 0.10.5
  • Framework version 5.12.1

Thanks!

Sherri

Any thoughts on this one?

Hey Sherri.

Some changes were in the works regarding partly correct and item scoring (Oliver mentioned here) which I've a feeling would help in this instance.

In the meantime you may need to look at recrafting these types of questions, e.g. into what-not-to-dos.

Thanks Barry. I will wait until the changes are made as asking what not to do questions are not good from an instructional design perspective.
