Adapt Framework Update - 23/09/2014

Hey Everyone,

I haven't done one of these for a very long time. But we do have some exciting news on updates.

With the sneaky preview of the authoring tool being released last week we've received some positive feedback. Thanks for all the people watching and letting us know what you think.

In terms of the framework - most of our efforts the past few months has been on double AA accessibility requirements. We're coming up to a stage where we're cleaning up the code ready for a release. We've added a few little bonus features too so look out for features like - RTL support and the new button layout/configurations which give an attempts remaining update, an overall question status (correct or wrong) and feedback is attainable at any time after answering the question.

Our release schedule for the framework is now going to follow a simple process outlined below:

- Pick the features that are going into the release.

- Scope the features out and get the Core Contributor team to build these features.

- Once all the features are in and are pushed to the testing team we give a Developers Preview out. Four weeks from now will be the release date.

- This Developers Preview is for plugin developers to bring their Adapt plugins up to the new core code and make a release/tag a repo. There is a four week period in which developers are expected to update their code to any Core changes.

- After four weeks worth of testing and bug fixing we're able to release the framework with all the contributed plugins up-to-date (or so we hope).

Thanks for all the contributions, answering/asking questions and interest in Adapt.

Daryl
