I do these steps ( steps url ) :

Install Vagrant.
Install VirtualBox.
Get the code by downloading a zip directly from GitHub, or by cloning the repository using git.
Launch a terminal window (or command prompt) and cd into the adapt_authoring directory you have just downloaded. (Windows users: it is essential that you launch command prompt as an Administrator.).
If you're unfamiliar with the terminal, have a look at our Just Enough Command Line for Installing page first.
Run the command vagrant up. (Windows users: during this process you may receive prompts from your firewall software, to which you must allow access, as installation will fail if the VM cannot access the internet to download the required dependencies.)
Depending on the performance of your hardware, allow 10 to 20 minutes for setup complete. Once it finishes, you can browse to http://localhost:5000 to access the authoring tool. You can then login with the following credentials:

but when I browse to http://localhost:5000 i get this error screen.

Note I am using windows 10 64 bit

When you run vagrant up, what error message do you receive in the command prompt?

Are you able to run vagrant ssh in the Adapt Authoring direcotory?

Hi, did you reslove this issue? I'm have the same problem on OSX 10.10.3.

No errors in the command prompt

But when navigating to http://localhost:5000 in a browser it just displays in the page

Here’s the mail I got recently for my problem
I was not able to get to these sites at the time of my first post but now for the last day I have been able to access them. Also, there were times during the prior 2-3 weeks that I was able to get to "problem" sites but it definitely was infrequently.

The error message, in addition to the ERROR 324 said the "server did not send any data." I'm sorry I didn't "snip" the exact error message. I will when I see it again.

I will now proceed until the "problem" resurfaces. Then I will go through Methods 1-3 and see what I find. I have my fingers crossed but since I was only able to go back to a restore point from one week ago, it was still in the middle of the "problem" time period, so I believe there still is potential for the issue to resurface.

Hi all, I've successfully used and installed the authoring tool, but since restarting my p.c. I can't open the local host 5000 log in page. Do I need to launch something first? I can find lots of install help but not this.

Hi Cristian, did you started the application? Open a terminal window, cd to your adapt folder and type "node server".

Each time you close the PC you have to do this, or setup a kind of batch file,

Try to wait until "vagrant up" is finished and unplug your network cable. Then open browser and type in http://localhost:5000.Iit maybe won't work with the first attempt. So refresh the site multiple times.

I'm working behind proxies and this solution works for me. For sure you can plugin your network cable after the login screen is shown.
