Can responsive iFrame run local conent?

Can the responsive iFrame run local content as opposed to having to external content hosted on a server elsewhere? 

So for example if I had a swf or swiffy file that I wanted to display in an iFrame in my course, can I include the swf or swiffy file and associated html file with my course files and just use a relative path in the iFrame URL form field?

I don't see why not... probably best just to give it a try and see what happens.
