It would be great (maybe just me but hopefully others too!) if, when you have just one half width component (say a text one) and you can choose to make it a full width component from the settings menu.

Also vice versa too - as long as it doesn't break anything I suppose.

Lost track of the number of times I have had to copy everything from a text box, delete it, make a new full width one and then repaste.

Doable?

Hi Helen,

This has been on the roadmap for a while, and we've made a few different attempts at fixing it, none of which we felt were worthy solutions. If you could add a comment to the GitHub issue with any suggestions (link below), that'd be great :)

Oh yeah - have done the drag and drop thing before. Just a bit of an extra step but a workaround for now I guess - thanks!

Great suggestion Helen - this would be a really handy addition. However I have read about the workaround on the github page which is a very good interim solution.

The workaround is as follows:

You can currently work around this issue by move it to a new block, then move it back in the correct position.

Hi,

See attached Mock of how I think this should work, I've added a few new direction buttons to the component.

I hope it's self explanatory - if not, I like some feedback/suggestions, once we agree on a solution I'll add the mock to the GitHub issue.

Thanks,

Mark.

Love it Mark - that's a perfectly reasonable way to do that I think.

Even "Move left", "Move right" and "Make full" as options available in the cog menu that appear when possible would be fine but I actually like your idea more!

Fab work!

Look great Mark,

When implemented, this would solve lots of moving around and fussing with blocks.

Good implementation Mark - I think that would work really well.

Hi all,

Thank's for the feedback - I've updated the GihHub issue so hopefully we can get this developed pretty soon as it's a heavily requested feature.

Thanks,

Mark.
