Capture User Answers to Questions in Adapt

I'm wondering if anyone has explored the possibility of capturing user inputs.  In the course we are building with Adapt we are hoping to have questions and text areas for users to submit answers that could then be stored and reviewed/marked by an instructor.  Also file uploads and other inputs are also required.  Any guidance or input would be most appreciated, thanks.

Hi Dominic,

I just had a quick look on the new Adapt plugin browser page: www.adaptlearning.org/repo/index.html

If you search for textinput there seems to be a component that might do what you're after, not sure if it's flexible enough for what you describe.

There might another plugin on that page that's better.

What's the course going to be run from - a learning management system? If so, what kind? Most support SCORM 1.2 which unfortunately can be quite limiting in this regard. No support for file uploads, for a start... it's also quite limited in terms of capturing user input.

The textInput component will save the user's responses to SCORM's cmi.interactions data fields, but not all Learning Management Systems support this - and, even when they do, only allow for storing 255 characters of text, so is really only intended for 'a question with a simple one- or few-word answer'
