Are there plans to support powerpoint (ppt) imports? Most of our elearning is in ppt currently. Is there a workaround?

I can understand the technical challenges since ppt is not supported in browser so it needs to be converted to html first...Just checking to see how this can be done with adapt.

Hi Sam,

We have no plans to support Powerpoint imports at this time.  I'm not sure what size or how complex your Powerpoint files are but it might not take too long to re-create the courses manually in the authoring tool.

Brian

Hi Sam,

Due to the way that Adapt is structured it would be quite hard to convert the static slides of Powerpoint to an Adapt course that is scroll based and supports a wide variety of screen sizes. Also consider the different components that make up an Adapt project that require interactions more than just reading and going to the next slide.

As Brian said if it's a small of amount of content it should be quick and easy to convert to Adapt. Otherwise I would recommend looking into another Authoring Tool that more closely replicates Powerpoint.
