during "create course" a number of deprecated warnings
by jim nielsen - Sunday, 6 March 2016, 11:18 PM

When I "adapt create course" I get a few warnings to upgrade to newer versions of lodash (X2) and graceful.  When where and how can I do that and prevent it from happening.

Also - I tried the create course tutorial at the wiki and I have not found success.  I can't delete the folders and the server keeps running.  So I reboot the machine as a way of stopping the grunt server to try the tutorial again.

Is that the best way?  During the tutorial I got orphans and stuff. Quite painful really.

Hi Jim,

You can stop the server (or any running process) using ctrl+c.

I haven't followed the tutorial page myself, what error messages are you getting? The orphan message is related to objects without parents (i.e. no _parentId), or invalid _parentIds.

Hi Tom,

I get the same kind of messages Jim talks about when I try to install adapt authoring from fresh. I had installed a Vagrant version, and got the same messages, and could not get the tool working. Tried to do the "server" install. and it also fails.

I hope to spend some time tonight at home, and if Jim did not provided them by then, I'll try to add some screenshots.
