How can I make article title and block title not a required field? I do not want text here. I know how to make my own theme, I just don't know what code to write.

Hi Darrin,
Article and block titles are not required. Curious to know what situation has led you to believe this. Or are you trying to create a theme in which an author has no opportunity to supply titles?

Thanks Chuck for your reply. I guess I wasn't unlinking the display title.... I did that and made it blank and it works fine now. Another question, how can I edit the area at the very top of the page? See attached screen shot. I can change the color, but I would like to make that an image for a banner.
