node install hangs
by k jcsb - Monday, 22 August 2016, 8:28 AM

I am attempting to install Adapt (which looks very exciting - congratulations).

After this step in the install it hangs

Now create your tenant. Just press ENTER to accept the default value (in brackets). Please wait ...
> Set a unique name for your tenant (master)
> Set the display name for your tenant (Master)

It doesn't get to this stage:

Creating file system for tenant: master, please wait ...

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this further?

Hi There,

I had a similar issue a few weeks ago. Are you by any chance installing on a 32bit version of windows? I kept getting stuck at this point on a desktop with Win 7 32bit. I was able to solve it by following the instructions here to change the Mongodb storage engine to one that works for 32bit.

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34243731/mongodb-cannot-start-server-the-default-storage-engine-wiredtiger-is-not-avai

Hope it helps.

It's on CentOS but perhaps it's a similar problem. Thanks for the good suggestion.
