Adding an Anchor to a Page

Can you tell me how to add an anchor to a page, article, or block in Adapt?  I see in the link button where I can link to an anchor, but I don't see a "button" for adding one.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

If you mean a normal HTML a tag with a name attribute rather than an href attribute, you may be out of luck. Adapt uses the URL # (anchor section) for routing and not for anchors. So you'd route to nowhere in Adapt if you tried to navigate to a named anchor.

I hope that makes sense?

Otherwise, could you explain a little more?

Kind Regards,

Ollie

Oliver: It makes perfect sense and you explained what is happening to me when I try to add an HTML anchor and link on a page.  Is there a defined way I should do this using Adapt Authoring?  If there is, I haven't been able to find anything in the documentation.

I really appreciate your response.

Is the # after the URL where you would put the component ID?
