Adapt Learning Community: Preview from authoring tool stopped working

I've been using the authoring tool without issues. Then the preview suddenly stopped working. I've rolled back to a slightly earlier state, and the issue still presents itself.

When I attempt to preview I get the information in the console that "This component already exists in your project" (screenshot attached). Anyone an idea what might be happening and how I could fix?

I've found that making a copy of the course and previewing that works - the original course still doesn't preview.

I'd quite like to fix my original course if I can, or at least understand how to avoid this happening again -- if anyone has any ideas.
