I am having trouble downloading the adapt-contrib-assessmentResultsTotal-master component. the zipped folder does not contain the files.
I would like to use this to display the assessment results of multiple assessment within a course.
please advise.

No, you're downloading it fine it's just there aren't any files - in the master branch anyway.
There's some code in the develop branch but it was last updated in March 2015 so I wouldn't count on it being any use.
I'm not sure there currently is any method for displaying the results of multiple assessments within a course.
