Linking to a resource document
by James Wan - Thursday, 26 January 2017, 7:41 AM

Hi, how would one add a link, in the course content, to a document in the resources folder? I would like users to click on the link and have the pdf open in a new browser window.

thank you

Hi Shaun,

What are you using Framework or Authoring Tool? In the Tool you need to add them in your project settings part. Framework, I suggest to look at the Wiki.

Hi John,

Thanks for the response.

i'm using the Authoring Tool. I have added them to the Resources extension. However i would also like to give users an option to launch the document straight from the content, i.e. tell them "You can access the resources section of this course or click here to launch the document in a new window..."

kind regards,

Try searching in this forum. I know there has been a similar question, and if I recall well it has been done with either the media component or a text component.

put the phrase below in the search text box in forum
