False positive trojan - virus detected when trying to download a course
by Philippe Siwinski - Thursday, 2 February 2017, 6:41 PM

Hi there,

I've installed the Adapt authoring tool on my Windows computer.

Everything went well using Vagrant.

I have created a course with a empty block in a page for a quick test.

No problem on preview.

However, when I try to download the course (using chrome), it triggers a Windows defender alert.

The detected virus has a name : Trojan:Win32/Sprisky.D!cl

It seems there course file that triggers is \adapt\js\adapt.min.js

What do you think of that ?

Thanks,
Phil

Assuming you haven't used any third-party plugins in your course it's going to be a false-positive. There's usually a way of reporting such things... or updating your virus definitions in Windows Defender might help.

Thanks Matt ! Updating the virus definitions seem to have solved the issue. I haven't used any 3rd-party plugins.
