Is there an extension or plugin available to use as a help guide in a pop-up format when the course launched. Or a button at the header will show a pop-up about the help guide. Help guide, I mean some information about the course UI elements in a carousel interaction on a pop-up. Any suggestions or directions will be helpful. Thanks!
I would say 'have you checked the plugin browser' but it's down at the moment!
I can't think of anything specifically like you describe.
You could of course do this as a start page that appears before the menu. Equally you could modify the navigation.hbs to include a link to a 'help' PDF or similar in the top navigation bar.

It is not a carousel but the plugin provides a simple way to present help about the course showing a video in pop-up format when the course launched.
