Node install times out
by Seth Miller - Monday, 6 November 2017, 8:09 PM

I am wondering if it is because I'm behind a firewall, but when I'm using the command "node install" it will start as if it is going to install the Authoring tool, but then it fails with the following verbiage:

ERROR: Couldn't check latest version of adapt_framework
Error: connect ETIMEDOUT 192.30.253.117:443

Failed to get the latest framework version. Check package.json.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should check or if there is a way to bypass this check?

Thanks,

Seth

I still haven't been able to install this. Has no one else tried to install this behind a firewall? Or is the error too ambiguous? I'm trying to give as much information as I can to get some assistance!

I did manage to get a new error, but after the first time of showing up, it started showing as the same one as the original message.

ERROR: Couldn't check latest version of adapt_framework
Error: write EPROTO 101057795:error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol:openssl\ssl\s23_clnt.c:797:

Failed to get the latest framework version. Check package.json.

Would love some advice!
