Basic questions
by Emilia Stepien - Wednesday, 8 November 2017, 3:41 PM

Hi All,

I work for an organisation that uses an authoring tool and Launch and Track platform. However, we are interested in Adapt product as well, that is why I would like to ask some questions regarding Adapt if that's ok:

- Would that be possible to create a new course in Adapt and then export it as a SCORM file, and next   upload it onto our Launch and Track platform, which we normally use, to allow Learners access to this course?

- Where our courses will be kept? Would that be possible to access once developed course anytime? Also, who else will have access to the courses which we develop using Adapt?

Any replies would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks,
Emilia

Hi Emilia,

If your current management system supports scorm you should be fine with Adapt courses. Which ever tool you use you can download the course and upload in to turn LMS so you are not tied into that tool forever.

There are a number of ways to get the tool, companies such ourselves Can Studios, Learning Pool and others mentioned on the collaborators page have tools you can subscribe to with free trials etc, or you can run it yourself if technically capable.

The courses are kept in the tool you us, and you can export source or build courses. As such no one else should have access to the sources of your courses unless you want them too.

Hope this helps.

Paul
