Sharing - Float's Guide to Installing Adapt
by Chad Udell - Tuesday, 21 November 2017, 4:51 PM

Hi all. We shared the following presentation at this year's DevLearn conference in Las Vegas. The eLearning Guild produced the event and we here at Float presented on getting started with and extending Adapt.

For the presentation, we created a step by step installation guide with annotated screenshots.

We welcome your feedback on this, but maybe even more importantly, we'd like widespread sharing of this!

Enjoy!

Thank you, Chad, for sharing this. I wish we had a video of your presentation!

 Lots to like about it:

  • The slides make a nice step-by-step companion to authoring tool installation. Better than a video that keeps forging along.
  • Really appreciate the Windows/Mac side-by-sides in the installation slides.
  • Nice overview for someone who is wondering whether they have the technical wherewithal to install the tool, author with the tool, or create new plug-ins.
  • Nice overview for planning team work: “I need you to install this on the server for me; I’m going to use it to author courses; I’ll turn to you when I need a new plug-in coded.”

It’s an important resource for people who are just getting started. Thank you.
