First time user :: Failed installation
by Dhiyaneswaran Rajaram - Monday, 12 May 2014, 9:18 AM

I am a flash developer who is interested in making the existing learning modules platform independent. Its really inspiring to see what could be achieved using ADAPT.

https://github.com/adaptlearning/adapt_framework/wiki/Setting-up-your-development-environment

I have no prior experience with any of the above tools/softwares. I installed node.js and git as instructed. But when I tried the following in the command prompt, I am getting few errors (please find attached screens).

npm install adapt-cli -g

I would really appreciate if you could help. Thanks.

Hi, glad you like what can be done with adapt.

It looks like it is either a permissions issue or an issue with Git not being in your system path. Check out the following:

Thanks

Dan

Hello,

Check you have enough permissions to read/write/delete file in your profile (C:\Users\u251599\AppData\Roaming\npm), if necessary you may need to run your command prompt "As Administrator"

Cheers,

Chris
