hi, I'm using the Authoring tool. I would like to know how/if the following can be down.
I would like to lock the assessment of my course. unlocking the assessment would be dependent on users answering yes to a question in the previous section. the assessment would remain locked if they answer no.

If your assessment is in its own page, you should be able to control by adjusting Menu lock type in your project settings. Select custom then go to the page settings for your assessment and in the Locked by option enter the id of the page you need to have completed before your assessment is unlocked.
Then adjust your yes/no quiz for infinite attempts until correct answer (yes) is selected. Or depending on the layout of your course, perhaps trickle on completion to a QuickNav component taking you to the assessment.
