Moving articles between pages - Authoring Tool

I'm currently working mainly in the Authoring Tool although I am familiar with using the framework. I have 2 pages that I am trying to merge into one in my course. I thought that I could just change the _parentId in the articles.json file but that doesn't seem to be working. I'm now thinking the parentId also needs to be updated in Robo 3T. Although, I'm not entirely sure how to do that or if that is even the correct way to do this.

Has anyone attempted to do something like this? Thanks in advance.

If you're happy to do it one article at a time, it can be done by opening two browser windows, putting one (the destination page) into an article-copy state (ready to paste) then in the other copying the article you need and then pasting where you need it to go in the first window.

Wow, that is so much easier! Thanks! I was way over-thinking this!
