This is causing my course to fail accessibility from the client. role="region" is supposed to be used sparingly, not on every paragraph and list item etc.
How can I stop adapt from compiling this way?

It would help greatly if you could state what version of Adapt you're using... particularly when it comes to accessibility cause it all changed quite a lot between major versions
We are using the Legacy edition as the client has ie8 support requirement

They require support for a browser that's over a decade old (and hasn't been supported for years) and yet they're complaining about overuse of role=region?! wow.
It's being added by the function makeElementTabbable.
