Updating plugins from CLI

When running a number of AT servers, it would be nice to be able to automate the update of plugins.

Is there a way to update an AT plugin without going through the AT app?

Has anyone done any experimenting with this, or do you need to update plugins through the AT interface?

I think the issue is that if you update them via any method other than the AT interface, any changes to the plugin's properties.schema don't get picked up by the authoring tool.
