Adapt & Moodle - SCORM appearance setting

Hi,

I'm using Adapt and Moodle and I've some SCORM visualization problems:

  • "new window" setting = browsers often block popup
  • "same windows" setting = poor visualization, multiple scrolling bars.

What are the best settings in Moodle to visualize Adapt SCORM package? Have you any advice?

Hi Lorenz

This is a long-time 'known issue' in Moodle, see https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-46563

Not sure if this is an option but Totara, the 'business' version of Moodle, has a 'New Window (simple)' option that doesn't have this problem.

If that's not an option and you have to stick with Moodle, you might try the setting 'same window' then have the course launch itself in a new window via the launchNewWindow extension.

You could also add a small iframe (via Moodle label) to your course intro page and load the SCORM (set as same window) in there so it displays just your custom launch button or launchNewWindow link, which then cuts out the extra launch window.
