No Add a Course button on my Dashboard?

Hi, all -

OK, I got the authoring tool installed on my machine, and I can get to my Dashboard, but I don't have an Add a Course button. If I click on the drop-down menu, I can access Plugin Management, but that's it. I've tried signing in through Firefox, Safari, and Chrome.I searched the forums and Googled the problem, but I can't find anything. I'm on a MacBook running Big Sur. Help?

My sidebar is completely empty, unless I click on Plugin Management. I seem to have full functionality for that option.
