IMPORTANT: Issues with node version 0.12.0
by Dennis Heaney - Thursday, 19 March 2015, 9:41 AM

Hi,

A number of people have been having issues with created courses not showing on their dashboard after installing the authoring tool.

I believe this problem can be traced back to the version of NodeJS in use. I have replicated the issue after installing node version 0.12.0. We have currently only fully tested the authoring tool on node version 0.10.33, and I recommend that everyone installs and uses that version whilst we fix the issue.

Use nvm to install and manage node versions on Linux and OSX. On windows, you can use nodist.

I'll post an update once we have resolved the issue, and tested against the latest node version.

Thanks,

Dennis

Should we still be using node version 0.10.33 ?

Thanks.

No - I am using 4.2.2 and I think that is the minimum now?

Hi Dennis,

As Helen mentioned, node 4.2.x, one source for this : https://github.com/adaptlearning/adapt_authoring/wiki/Install-on-Server
