Marketing and communications

Hi,
We had our first meeting last week to discuss the marketing approach for the Adapt Learning project and I wanted to pull together some of the general themes here.

The next big marketing opportunity for Adapt will be with the release of the demo course which will happen in the next few weeks.

Once that happens we'll do a webinar where we'll ask some of the steering group members to discuss their experience of using Adapt and the challenges this provides. This webinar will be very content and learner focused rather than technology focused.

Learning Technologies in January 2014 will be a big marketing opportunity for the project and we agreed to share our planned marketing activities so we complement each other’s activities and avoid duplication.

The LPI shortlisting is a great boost and Emma from Sponge will put together a press release on this to go out this week.

We agreed to boost our social media presence in the next week or so – more details on that soon.

Other actions we picked up are:

To put together some brand guidelines for Adapt and to share the brand assets

To write a glossary of terms to help keep language consistent and clear.

I’ve agreed to help Sven with this part of the project and to keep things moving. I expect we’ll meet again in late December.

Thanks, Paul. Great to have your help and Emma's on the marketing!

Just to acknowledge that I have taken the actions on the brand guidelines and the glossary of terms to make sure we all share a common language.

Hi,

Just to say thanks to Paul McElvaney and let everyone know that we pitched Adapt Learning for the LPI award this morning. I feel we represented the project and intentions well and came away very happy.

On a related note, we managed to pick up a LearnX award for the original (internal) framework two weeks ago in Australia. Well done to Paul Welch and Daryl for masterminding the framework in the first instance and thanks to everyone who was involved in the submission and pitch!
