Cant log in to testing area!
by Stephen Banks - Friday, 22 May 2015, 11:08 AM

I realize it has been some time since I registered as a Beta tester and I had created some test courses on the system but I'm having difficulty getting back in!

The delay has been down to convincing (still working on it - and could do with getting back in to demo the course creation tool) my workplace to investigate and use Adapt

It could be down to just me forgetting how to get in!!

Thanks

Hi Stephen,

thanks for your note - as it happens, the first Beta cycle has been closed on 5th May and we've managed to officially release version 0.1 of the authoring tool.

The release was announced here along with a detailed list of the functionality. This code is now freely available from our GitHub repository so you're very welcome to install it. Please note that the installation process is quite technical (as it's an early version of a server based application). However, there is some documentation available (which we are constantly improving) and there are plenty of community members (and threads) on this forum, which can help answer questions with regards to the installation.

I hope this helps!

Thanks,
Sven

Hi Steve,

How can we help you to convince your workplace that they should be using Adapt?

Thanks,

Mark.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your post, sorry I've been off during kids holiday.  It's quite a complex situation, I created a Moodle LMS system for them to compare to a third party system, they decided against my advice and went with the third party.  Now they have committed they are trying to force all requests down this route.

I have tried to explain to them that not all 'projects' require this type of approach and its best to have differing platforms to create and host e-learning resources.  I have used Captivate previously and they did not appreciate the work behind learning and creating the resources.  They prefer to buy a ready made solution rather than invest any time and effort in creating their own resources and expertise.

As it's transpired the third party solution has not gone to plan and the ready made solution was not exactly achieved 'well I never!' so even though we are burdened with the third party LMS we are looking at other things...another third party company!!....if you could help in any way that would be great.

Thanks
Steve Banks
