Inserting images into WYSIWYG
by Shane Price - Thursday, 30 July 2015, 2:47 PM

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help me, I'm create a course using the Adapt Builder.

I noticed that the WYSIWYG does not have a button to insert an image currently, and when entering the img tag into the source code, when I go back to the design view, the image has been removed.

Is there a particular reason for this?

Thanks in advance,
Shane

Hi Shane,

It sounds like you're trying to insert an image into the article, block or component body area.  There are a multitude of components which can display images, the most straightforward one being the Graphic component.

If you were to insert <img> tags into the body they wouldn't necessarily be responsive on all devices.

Regards,

Brian

Thanks for the reply.

I thought there might of been a specific reason for this, just thought I'd check beforehand.

Thanks for your help.

I understand that you want the images in inline.... it depends what you want to display.

You can break up a paragraph with a full width image by having :

ARTICLE

    BLOCK
Full width text with first paragraph

    BLOCK
    Full width graphic component

    BLOCK
Full width text with second paragraph

May be too big for what you want but as Brian says, <img> tags can't guarantee that the image will behave correctly.

Thanks for the input Helen.

I'm new to Adapt, so just trying to get my head around best practices.

I will definitely give that a go.

Thanks :)
