Adapt Framework demo now live
by Sven Laux - Wednesday, 18 December 2013, 11:19 PM

Hi,

just to say that the demo link is now live and links to the example we have produced using the Adapt Framework. This has been tested, however, there are still a few known issues (Paul can elaborate).

Users also have to be logged in to see it. I intend to change this ASAP - just could not do it tonight as I didn't have the FTP details for the server handy.

Just to say thank you to Paul and Daryl for the extra effort put in to get this demo up. I know I have pushed you quite hard on this. I really appreciate your work and I personally think the demo is well written, looks beautiful and shows the framework off in a good light.

Let's fine tune this before the end of the week (especially sorting out the access, which is my task).

Looks stunning! Great job guys.

The progress feature is really nice too, didn't expect this.

Looks fantatsic Sven, have to say watching this from afar through the community has been a brilliant experience, I would just like to say well done to everyone on this. Is anyone experiencing problems trying to vierw the demo on iPad, I can open everything in the community site on my iPad, except the demo, as it says the network connection has been lost?

Hi William

Are you running iOS 7 by any chance? If so, something seems to have changed in this version that's causing this issue to occur quite a bit on all sorts of different HTML content - not just Adapt. We've even managed to replicate it on a page with just the text 'Hello World'!

It seems to be something server based (in that you can move the content to another server and it stops happening) so is being investigated by our support team.

Hi William, Mathew and Alan,

thank you you for the great comments. Really encouraging to hear that you like the demo!

The issues with launching on Safari are now fixed.

All the best and thanks again to the team for the hard work in getting the demo ready, Sven

Hi Sven,

Great work as always! I noticed a usability issue when running on mobile (Android Chrome) that I expect you are already aware of, but will mention anyway just in case. Vertical scrolling works fine until I get to a horizontal scrolling element which picks up the touch and tries to handle the horizontal scroll rather than vertically scrolling as you would expect.

Hi Nathan,

thanks for the comment and for pointing this out! I'll check to make sure this is a known bug.
