You can also have a look at the framework v2.0 demo package, which contains all of the core plugins, along with descriptions of how they work:

This uses the default vanilla theme, so will give you an idea of how things will look completely out-of-the-box with no custom styling. Similarly, all functionality you see in this demo comes as standard, and requires no custom work at all (besides some JSON configuration).
