Authoring Tool - Cannot upload plugin
by Ryan Lowry - Wednesday, 9 March 2016, 11:16 AM

Hi,

I have the latest version of the Authoring Tool setup on a Windows 7 machine.

When I try to upload the adapt-iceCream theme I get the following message:

"Error: Cannot find expected bower.json file in the plugin root, please check the structure of your zip file and try again."

The bower.json file is at the root of the zip file. I have also tried to upload several other plugins and get the same message.

Any advice you can offer would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Ryan,

Some plugins are just not designed to work with the Authoring Tool as yet. Please see this thread :

Thanks Helen!

Just getting started and wrongly assumed the same plugins would be supported across both the standalone framework and the authoring tool.

It's not immediately obvious from any of the documentation that this is the case. I'll try the plugins in the standalone framework.
