Authoring Tool - Locked Account
by Agnieszka Gorgon - Wednesday, 13 December 2017, 1:46 AM

I've recently had the Framework and the authoring tool installed on my PC, and this afternoon I managed to lock myself out of the authoring tool's account.

The message I see on the screen is: This account has been locked because of too many failed login attempts. You can unlock it by clicking the 'Forgotten your password?' button.

I've clicked the Forgotten your password button, but have not received any follow up emails as to what I should do next.

I read in a post that I could reset this in Robomongo, but I just don't have a clue on how to do this. Any help would be very appreciated.

Thank you,

Agnieszka

Hi Agnieszka,

You could connect to Robomongo with the credentials in adapt_autoring\conf\config.json, look for dbHost & dbPort.

Then go to collection "users" and reset the property "failedLoginCount" to 0.

From Tom's post, there is a wiki page for what to do in these situations here

Hope it helps
